The Temec Engineering Group Ltd. was retained to define and implement the most cost effective and strategic solution to the unsatisfactory performance of an older existing recovery boiler precipitator. Among other issues, the existing precipitator did not comply with current environmental permit levels.

Temec was responsible for all preliminary engineering, including quantitative evaluation of a number of layout concepts, definition of current and future process requirements, emission level investigations, capital cost estimating, project management, scheduling and project planning. Temec also provided the majority of the detail engineering services required, including civil, structural, mechanical and piping design (executed using a detailed three dimensional model), electrical and instrumentation coordination, and project management.
